Attached is a list of National Occupation Classification (NOC) in demand. One way to be eligible for a Canada Immigration (Permanent Resident) Visa to qualify under the Federal Skilled Worker Program by having at least one year of paid work experience during the last 10 years in one of the 29 qualifying in demand occupations. This is great news for dentists, pharmacists, insurance adjusters, biologists and others who were previously ineligible for the Federal Skilled Worker category of Canadian Immigration.

If the Clients qualify for 67 points threshold, they can become Permanent Resident of Canada within 18 to 20 months. Please note that the applicant must have IELTS (International English Language Testing System) score to qualify for Canada immigration. Citizenship and Immigration Canada uses the results of IELTS and/or TEF as a conclusive evidence of one's ability to communicate in English and/or French. For the purposes of the skill-based immigration points test, one receives separate points based on his or her performance on each of the four modules (reading, writing, speaking, and listening); the score of 6.5 on a particular IELTS module is sufficient to earn the maximum points for this particular capacity, except for the listening module, which requires the score of 7.5 to earn the maximum points. If the prospective candidate achieves over the band score, they can add 12 points towards threshold criteria.
The selection factor grid below will illustrate how points are awarded in the six selection factors: Example of the selection factors:
1.Qualifications: Masters Degree 25 points, Bachelors degree 22 points.
2. Language: IELTS 6.5 / 7.0.. 12 points
3. Work Experience: 1 year 15 points. 2 years 17 points, 3 years 19 points and for 4 years 21 points maximum. 4. Age: 21 to 49 years 10 points maximum, however if age is more or less than specified threshold it is reduced by 1 point for each year from maximum points allocated .
5. Spouse: If married, and the spouse is a graduate one can add 4 points, with Masters degree 5 points maximum. 6. Relatives in Canada; If the applicant has blood relatives currently and permanently living in Canada one can add another 5 points to the individual score. Total points under the current Ministerial Instructions June 2010 scored should result in 67 points.
